I am cooking some steaks at the moment but before they finish - let's talk about:
Why Muscle Confusion is BS & why it will destroy your chances of building muscle.
This term sounds like it makes sense: Change your workouts often so your muscles don't get used to the stimuli AKA reach a plateau.
If your goal is to build muscle then following the muscle confusion approach will only lead to frustration and little progress.
This is because muscle confusion violates one of the most fundamentals laws of muscle building:
THE LAW OF PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD
"This law states that in order for a muscle to grow, strength to be gained, or performance to increase - the human body must be forced to adapt to a tension that is above and beyond what it has previously experienced."
Basically if you wanna build bigger muscles you must make your workouts harder overtime to force your muscles to get bigger and stronger.
This can be achieved in multiple forms like adding reps, increasing weight or reducing rest periods but NOT BY COMPLETELY CHANGING YOUR WORKOUTS.
If you were to change your workouts often - you at least want certain fundamental exercises to be present and become harder. Not completely change from one program to a completely different one.
All that will do is lead you to start over and your new plan might not be harder than your last workouts. And no one wants to start over again!
So what do we do?
Assuming that you have a solid workout plan designed with progressive overload in mind - we simply wanna make the workouts harder every week.
That way you are forcing your muscles to get stronger & bigger in order to compensate for the new stimuli.
It's as simple as that.
Now the problem is that you most likely aren't following a workout plan that has progressive overload in mind.
Most people publishing home workouts right now are simply showing you how to do bodyweight circuits.
Those are great for fat loss but if you want an at home workout plan designed to help you build muscle & lose body fat by following the law of progressive overload.
You need a plan like my Get My Home Workout System
I designed it so every week it gets harder to do - so you don't even have to think about anything.
I even added a meal plan so you know exactly what to eat during this quarantine in order to build muscle & lose fat.
In fact - I've been following my own Get My Home Workout System for the past month & I've already dropped 6 pds of
fat.
I'll show you the picture tomorrow but I want the same to happen to you, so join my program & let's get you looking shredded & muscular before summer starts in 2 months!
OK! My steaks are done now, time to feast!
I'll see you inside,
