This pandemic keeps getting worse & while I don't like to be pessimistic - I do like to be
prepared.
That's why I decided to prepare to workout at home for the next 6 months (at least)
Even when gyms open; They might not allow a lot of people at once so you HAVE TO know how to efficiently workout at home to build muscle & get shredded.
So I am sharing with you:
5 Steps to Make Your Home Workouts 10X More Efficient
Have a scheduled workout routine: This will differ for everyone but if you are a morning workout person - do them in the AM. If you have more strength in the afternoon - do them at the PM hours (You choose your time based on your best performance)
Turn off the TV & other distractions: Working out at home can be distracting so my best advice is to get tunnel vision & remove all distractions by setting up a workout area (Your garage, basement, or an empty room) If that's not possible just put on your headphones & get locked into the workout for the next hr.
Always do more than last week: Home workout principles are the same as at the gym. You get stronger by doing a little more each week - wether it's 1 more rep, adding more weight or shortening your rest period. Make your workout a little harder each week and you will make progress.
Follow a workout plan: There are many free workouts out there (some good, some just OK) but the fact is that you need to focus and follow one program and be successful with it - not jump from different programs each week.
Ignore Muscle Confusion like the plague: P90X popularized that term and has many thinking they need to change their workouts often in order to get results. THIS IS WRONG! You need to train your muscles to get good at the fundamental exercises for a few weeks to even months. Then change your exercises to more advanced variations to keep making progress. (I'll talk more about this tomorrow)
