Use ROCKS & other heavy odd objects!

When I first started working out I used rocks all the time.
⠀
I would:
• Overhead press them
• Squat them
• Lunge with them
• Throw them
• And floor press with them
⠀
My workouts back then weren’t pretty.
⠀
I would scratch my arms & sometimes rip my clothes.
⠀
The uneven load of the rock didn’t make things easy at all.
⠀
My parents kept asking me why I was bringing “trash” to the house.
⠀
I told them that these rocks were my weights but they didn’t understand.
⠀
To me weight is weight no matter how it looks.
⠀
Logs, rocks, sandbags, cars, heavy metal pieces & actual humans all have been used by me to workout.
⠀
One of the main things I teach all my clients is to be resourceful & not depend on a gym.
⠀
Gyms are great but if you can’t make it due to being busy with work or being broke.
⠀
Drop your ego & use the world as your playground.
⠀
The more you do this the more opportunistic & resourceful you become.
⠀
You stop making excuses when you train like this.
⠀
You build a different kind of mental toughness that pretty boy gym workouts can’t give you.
⠀
Next time you see a big ass rock, do me a favor.
⠀
Pick it up & do:
⠀
- 3 squats
- 3 overhead presses
- And throw as far as you can at the end
⠀
You will tap into a different kind of energy inside of you.
⠀
A beastly kind of energy that can only be unlocked trough being primal.
