If it has been a while (maybe the last time was when you were a kid) I wanna give you 4 reasons why working outside in nature is beneficial for you to get stronger.
⠀
1️⃣ You become resourceful and opportunistic:
⠀
You don’t have the luxuries of machines here so anything that can be climbed gets climbed & anything that can be picked up get used.
⠀
In the end weight Is weight no matter how it looks ⠀
With this mindset you open your mind to using your environment as your 24/7 gym.
⠀
2️⃣ You build functional strength:
⠀
The floors are uneven, the tree branches all have different thicknesses & nothing here is easy to grip.
⠀
With all these obstacles you forced your body to adapt & use even more muscles to stabilize, grip & support the uneven terrains.
⠀
3️⃣ Builds mental toughness:
⠀
Out here you will get scratched, you will bleed if you are not careful & you will have dirt all over your body
⠀
Nature has no rules & you must adapt to it.
⠀
This forces you to build mental toughness that can only be acquired trough battling difficult situations - no amount of reading about it will give you this toughness
⠀
You must get comfortable being uncomfortable because there is no other choice.
⠀
4️⃣ You get to be a kid again:
⠀
As kids we saw the world with no limitations - everything was an opportunity to play.
⠀
But as we get older we become more institutionalized & get introduced to more rules which makes us suppress our inner nature for play & wonder.
⠀
Out here in nature you get to tap into our inner child nature & let go off rules so we can have fun, be creative & explore all that nature has to offer.
⠀
If you haven’t done exercises at the park or a forest like we did here.
⠀
I recommend you try it this weekend.
⠀
Do a simple bodyweight workout & I guarantee that being out in the wild will make you tap into a different side of you.
⠀
Now go kill it!
