Next time you do dips or pull ups, add one of these to your set:

• Knee raises
• Leg raises
• L-Sits
• Air walking
⠀
It won’t be easy if you have weak stabilizer muscles
⠀
You will be shaking uncontrollably
⠀
You might not be able to get your feet high
enough to do an L-sit
⠀
And lastly your grip might give up before your muscles do
⠀
All of these can be excuses to not try something new and challenge yourself ⠀
But I know you are different

I know you live for challenges
⠀
I know
you know that growth and strength happens when you push your body to new limits - to new stimuli - to new stress
⠀
And I know you will try this and keep trying again week by week until you master these moves
⠀
All of what I mentioned above: the shaking, grip giving up & not being able to raise my feet high
enough all come from experience

I was not always at this strength level
⠀
Honestly the odds of me even being athletic were all against me
⠀
I was born with asthma & I couldn’t run or play when I was a kid.
I still vividly remember the times I tried to run & almost collapsed from not being able to breathe momentarily

That feeling of not being able to breathe for a moment is as close to death as I’ve gotten
⠀
But for some reason life hasn’t given up on me - it has given me many 2nd
chances

And just like life hasn’t given up on me

I haven’t given up on you

I know you can do better & I am here to push you
