I usually don't drink coffee since it upsets my stomach but if I need to get shit done coffee is magical! It will double your productivity like crazy.
If you ever feel unmotivated
or unfocused to workout drink some black coffee 30 min before you workout & it will put you in the zone.
Today I actually wanna talk about Pre-Workout rituals.
It actually pisses
me off no one shares this secret. It is my mission to make you a Beast so I will hold nothing back from you & give you the secrets to success.
Having a pre-workout routine is the secret to making your workouts twice as effective.
Think about it.
When professional athletes, CEOs & high performers like movie stars get ready to workout.
Do you think they are just "forcing" themselves to go to the
gym?
No!
These guys know that in order to maximize their results they gotta get themselves in "the zone" and they have a go-to routine that they do before working out to get hyped up & in the zone.
The routine is different for everyone but YOU MUST have a go-to series of steps in order to get there.
I'll share my pre-workout routine with you:
- I shower
- I take 10-20 deep belly breaths and feel the energy cultivating in my body
- After I relax from taking deep breaths I visualize myself turning Super Saiyan. I feel the energy building up around me and start pumping my chest like a gorilla.
- Sometimes it is a lot of chest pumping, sometimes it's just one but the fact that I hit my chest like a gorilla triggers my body into ACTION mode.
At this point I am fired up, focused & the beast inside of me is ready to murder my workout.
If at anytime I feel my energy dropping down during my workout I think back to becoming Super Saiyan and hit my chest once or twice.
This is all I need to trigger my body into BEAST mode.
That's my Pre-Workout Ritual.
I don't rely on pre-workout drinks or any type of food. I simply tap into my energy & ignite that animal inside me.
Now let's make a pre-workout routine for you in 2 steps.
Step 1- Visualize
Step 2- Anchor to Take Action
#1: Visualize what ignites the beast inside of you:
I want you to think back to what get's you Hyped The Fuck Up.
What fires you up like nothing else in this world.
- Is it a song
- a picture
- a person
- thinking back experience you've had in your life?
Write down all the things that fire
you up & select the one that get's your blood pumping the most.
For me Dragon Ball triggers a lot of childhood memories & it lights me up. every-time I see the show or see anything Dragon Ball related I think back to Goku and how he is always hungry to be the best, how he is willing to go to the brink of death so he can come back
stronger & more powerful than ever.
Right now select the #1 thing that ignites the fire inside you & visualize it.
Take a few deep breaths and just think about how you feel inside your body. What emotions does
this memory create. What parts of your body are tingling and rushing with energy.
Feel the energy all around your body & hold it there.
#2: Create An Anchor
Now that you have that memory that triggers your fire lets create an action (a trigger) so you can activate it on command.
Creating an Anchor is a hypnosis technique and an anchor is: a stimulus (behavior) that is associated
with a particular state of mind or mood.
So the goal here is to create an action that will trigger your powerful emotions to workout.
For me it's pumping my chest. Anytime I do this while thinking about being super
sayian it my signals my body that is go time. It's time to be a BEAST and give it my all during my workout.
Right think back to step 1. think back the thing that you visualize and create an action that will trigger you to feel this way on command.
It
can be:
- Clapping your hands
- Flexing your biceps
- Pumping your chest
- Doing a clapping push up
- Sreaming
- Tightening your fist
- Slapping your face
- Touching your ear
- Making a fist
You want to make your anchor a simple physical action that will instantly make you feel the energy inside you boiling up & ready to unleash itself in the gym.
So take a moment to make an anchor
right now to do that while you visualize the thing that puts you in workout mode.
Got it? Keep visualizing & doing the anchor.
Do this 10, 20, 30 times. Keep doing your anchor while your visualize and feel the energy inside you boiling up!
Now every-time that you do that Anchor it will trigger the emotions inside of you to Activate the BEAST INSIDE OF YOU!
Now every time you are gonna workout do this & you will instantly be in the zone. And if at anytime you feel your energy dropping during your workout or feel tired do your anchor and active the
beast inside you.
It will make you unstoppable!
This is next level stuff man, no one talks about this stuff but if you wanna become the strongest version of yourself you need to be able to tap into your internal energy and primal emotions on command.
I actually drove to Santa Cruz last December to meet a Logan Christopher who is an old school strongman, bodyweight beast & hypnosis practitioner to learn how to create this anchor for myself.
Logan lives on top of a mountain away from the city. And driving up that mountain for 45 min felt like I was on a movie, dogging trees that
have fallen down and driving up a very skinny road. It was quite the adventure.
I've learned so many "secrets" in the last years consulting and investing in coaches constantly & I wanna share all of that with you.
