What is Up Beast!
Hope you are crushing your Sunday. I was teaching 2 of my high school friends how to muscle up yesterday.
As I was coaching them I realized how many mistakes I have done in my own workout career.
How
many times I have skipped warming up, preparing my joints, doing foundational exercises & overall being impatient which leads to using bad form and injuries.
Earlier this year I injured my shoulder & I couldn't do muscle ups or do pull ups for a few months. This was a big lesson for me to take a step back & strengthen my
foundation so I have been working on basics again.
I am happy to say that my shoulder has almost fully healed and I am back to doing muscle ups again. It feels glorious to be on top of the bar once more!
I will share muscle up tips with you next week but for now if you are
currently struggling to get your first muscle up please have patience.
Work on getting strong at pull ups and do tons of warming up.
I just posted a YouTube video of the workout I did when I went to Miami back in January. I had my injured
shoulder here but I still got a kick ass workout in.
