You've trained them before but you can’t seem to make them grow no matter how hard you try.

I grew up watching Popeye & that guy had the biggest forearms of any cartoon I know!
He was a sailor and sailors have very physically demanding jobs and they use their hands a lot from sailing ships to tying up
thick ropes.
Popeye also used to squeeze out the spinach out of his can and shot it out onto his mouth.
If you ever try that - you will realize that all the strength comes from your hand & forearms.
Now you don’t need to be a sailor to have big forearms but you do have to:
Get STRONG Hands
That’s the key to bigger forearms:

Grow!
Some of the best exercises you can do to pack muscle on your forearms are:
- Monkey Bar Walking (yup just like a kid at the playground)
- Any type of carry with your hands (farmer walks, buckets, pinching plates)
- Climbing ropes (you really have to squeeze the rope to not fall)
- Pull up holds
(really squeeze the bar & hold for 3-5 seconds)
- Towel pull ups (you are forced to squeeze the life out of those towels all the time)
- Dips (Squeeze those bars like your life depended on it)
As you can see from these exercises they all require you to squeeze your hand.
And just by doing that you activate your
forearms.
The key is to squeeze the hand & hold it for time.
What this does is it creates more time under tension & this is a requirement to build muscle.
So next time you do a pull up try squeezing as hard as you can and hold it for 5 seconds & feel your forearms ballon up!
