Live for Today & Get Stronger [Rant]

Yo guys what is up!...Many people are happy because it's Friday: they see it as "finally the week is over & I can relax"
Relax from what?
Life never ends!...whatever job, school or commitment you have that requires you to be there was your decision
You chose to get that job, so if you don't like it change it! or change your attitude towards it: look at this as an opportunity to grow & learn how to act under stress or in an uncomfortable setting
Like with training nothing ever is comfortable, specially exercises that you suck at but know are essential
Like pull ups, dips, handstands & push ups
Many people can't do them, and a lot of times is not purely lack of strength, if not because they look at them in a negative way...they don't understand that getting stronger takes time & there is no magic potion or routine that will transform you in 1 month, what took you 10 years to become
Physical changes can & will occur in a month, but your character doesn't change that fast
You might gain 5 pounds of muscle, but how does that change you, if you are still the same weak minded & insecure person that you were before training?
A deep change has to happen inside of you & from my experience getting uncomfortable is the only thing that toughens up your character
Uncomfortable things like:
- workouts that make you doubt whether you can continue or not (like this one)
- training out in the cold
- training in the early AM
- training late in the night or at times when you just don't want to
- training with other things besides just barbells & dumbbells
There is never 1 definitive way, but exposing yourself to more roughness will make you tougher mentally & physically
That's why I stopped purely relying on training for getting bigger muscles: What I always wanted was to become more confident & have the balls to take risks
And the more I train with odd objects, with harder bodyweight skills, heaver weights and overall with new challenges the more I grow & become the person I once didn't know I wanted to become
Sometimes people tell me, your only 22? ohh man you have your life ahead of you!
Well I do, but I don't see it that way, I live for the present not the future..I do got my goals & plans, but what matters is what I do right now
- When I train am fully letting myself be in the moment
- When I coach somebody they got my full attention
- When I speak with someone, I am just listening to you & not thinking about another million things
I am focused & living in the moment!
Am I like this every time? Hello no!
Am not perfect by any means & nor will I ever be, but as I become more aware of the way I act, think & behave, I can quickly catch myself becoming nervous, shy, negative, self conscious, scared or weak in any form ...and quickly kill these emotions & change them to better & stronger ones
It's all pure self-awareness - nobody can do this for you, only you know yourself & only you can change YOU!
So today is Friday, great, now go out there & live for today! Don't care about tomorrow or next week...go out & whatever you do be present & have fun!
- If your gonna workout, give it your all & simply let go of any worries or limitations so you fully emerge in your training session
- If your gonna go out & party, don't let any negative comments bring you down - in the end you chose how to feel about yourself, so acknowledge that you got full control of your emotions
Being present is not easy but the more you become aware of yourself & actions the more power you have of making yourself change for the better!
So today might be Friday, but in my eyes is just another day to be myself & Kick Ass!...Live for today & let tomorrow unfold itself in it's due time,
