Foam Rolling to Get Stronger?

Published: Tue, 11/27/12

 Yo! whats up hommies!

I got a quick story to share with you guys before getting into today's blog post

A couple of months ago my body was broken!

My posture was horrible, had rounded shoulders, horrible back pain, a dislocated shoulder & felt tight all over

It was no fun!...But I needed to do something

At this same time this Pro Strongman, was putting up a workshop sharing his secrets on how he helps people get rid of pain & design badass workout programs

I wanted to go but I had no money!

So I worked my ass off doing odd jobs + working my driving job & saved up every penny I had in order to fly all to the way to the other side of the state just to to visit this pro strongman & learn his methods

I was scared & exited at the same time...but my body was in pain so I desperately needed help

I was broke but this investment was more than worth every penny I paid for

One of the things this pro strongman shared was how foam rolling, corrective stretching & doing some other wild exercises can help you align your body & get you stronger

When I came back home & immediately put foam rolling into action before my workouts & also on days off to work on my tight areas

2 months passed & my body was rejuvenated!

I had less pain, my shoulder was feeling a ton more mobile & I was actually lifting more weight!

Foam rolling wasn't the only did in order to get my body back in balance but it did make a big difference!

I just wrote a blog post sharing the foam rolling routine I used to do

You can see it here:

==> Foam Rolling to Get Stronger

It took me a while to get used to foam rolling, but these day I just hit it for about 5-10 min before my workouts & feel a lot better!

Specially rolling over my lats, hip flexors & piriformis which always get tight

Adding this to your warm up will help you BIG time + will also release a lot of the tension in your muscles that it's likely keeping you away from putting more weight on the bar faster!

Give it a go & I know it will make a big difference in your training!
