Bigger Deadlift with Planks?

Published: Tue, 11/06/12

Yesterday I told you about the experiment I am doing to "Trick My Body into Gaining More Muscle"

I Just finished writing the post for it, so you can Check It Out Here!

Today I wanna share something that I have been doing and has helped me lift heavier Deadlifts

And this simple thing is to engage the abs before you lift heavy weights by doing a stabilization exercise

I mainly have been doing planks for about 20 - 30 seconds between sets & this has helped me tremendously to tighten up the abs & have good form when lifting heavy

Bracing the abs is something that you must do as you need to stabilize the weight, but not many people actively engage the core and end up rounding their backs too much (and this leaves you weaker & more prone for injury)

Just doing something simple like a plank between heavy weights can not only save your back but also make you lift heavier weights!

Other exercises you can do between heavy sets are: Back bridges & Glute Bridges

But for the core I have found planks to be the best

Give it a go in your next training session (you can also test the glute/hip bridges to activate your glutes when deadlifting)

I know it will help you BIG Time!

If you have any questions about training, feel free to reply to this e-mail & I will get to you ASAP!
